Featuring fantastically stylized lotus flowers by veteran contemporary visual artist Hideki Kimura, this tenugui celebrates one of his greatest works. The original can be found on the sliding panels within kyoto’s Shoren-in Temple. Made in Kyoto using a hand printing method employed since the early 20th century in which the artisan hand dyes each 100% cotton cloth individually.

Hand-stenciled in Tokyo with the traditional chūsen dyeing method onto 100 % cotton, this 15” x 35” (37cm × 90cm) tenugui softens with every wash, ready to serve as a towel, eco-wrap, or striking wall art.
